web2rank provides an image for insertion into blogs and other Web 2 content. The RankImage™ has a "preview" version and a detailed version. The blogger embeds the preview version into his blog, and when a user clicks on it, she (or he) sees the detailed version. The RankImage™ provides feedback to the web2rank website about how often the blog has been viewed. The number of views from users in a particular geographic locale determines the rank of the blog hosting the image. The rank is itself determined based on a variety of parameters, including the number of blogs in a related topic area, the number of unique readers from a geographical locale and the time period in which the visits were measured. The detailed version allows users to select the parameters in which the rank is displayed.
